Thank goodness she turned out safe and sound. Now waiting to hear from another friend, who in spite of being Aussie, does not like to hang around the beach much. She is with her Thai boyfriend, who is pretty much sensitive to her needs. Hence we are pretty certain, given the circumstances she is in, [...]

Is there a way?

Am so worried about a fellow blogger and a real-life friend who was holidaying in Phuket with her Canadian boyfriend.
Is there a way to get news about them, other than the typical Aussie media sources here, that naturally focus on the missing Australians? The online papers have not been a help so far.
The news just in

I was really hopeless at dealing with the situation, so I sought the advice of Roland. It was after a few quick exchanges of words, that I got a really good piece of advice. Trust an Aussie guy to know how another Aussie guy ticks. Good one, Roland. One would have thought that after all [...]

I have met someone new.

I have only been working there full time for a week, but I have just come to realise that all of my colleagues, with the exception of the New Zealander couple who are not in the office most of the time, are British. This effectively breeds a form of subculture which I have not apparently [...]

It is just one of those Sundays where I just wanted to veg out. Slump on the bean bag the whole day; consuming a book, channel surfing, listening to nice Sunday music on the radio, or munching on nice little squares of chocolate.
It is nice being with friends. Spending every night of the week with [...]
Moved house, got a job

It has been pretty hectic over the weekend, because I had to move. The whole carting of boxes thing has been really a bit of a chore, because it was hot. I have ended up with sore and aching arms. The new place is much slightly bigger than the old one, but at the same [...]
