Season’s Greetings
Thanks to the earthquake in Taiwan, the Internet here has been sporadic at best.
In light of this erratic connection, which comes and goes as it pleases, will have to make do with a short post.

A friend cancelled an appointment to meet up, due to the horrid rain. So I put the kettle on and fixed myself a tray. Dried apricots with crackers and a wedge of Port Salut cheese. A cup of Lipton’s tea infusion of Lychee, Lime and Passionfruit. All enjoyed with the Jet album ‘Shine On’ playing in the background. Don’t think I will be able to have dinner now.
And thankfully, we are not in Spain, because I can’t imagine a profusion of flash floods on this already densely populated island.

The monsoon season has claimed us once again, with all her full glory of cool nights, cloudy skies, and the wet chaos she unleashes from time to time.
I cannot begin to express how much I like this season, not that there are much seasons here in Singapore to compare with. But it is all there, the cooler temperatures make me somewhat more calm, and yields a fresher (both literally and figuratively) view to things.
I have learnt long ago that what doesn’t kill you, just makes you stronger.
I have learnt a lot of things this week, particularly about people whom I have known for eons and people whom I have known for a shorter period.
Betrayal is one of those tough pills to swallow, but at least you know for once that all the masks are removed, and you see slime is actually just slime. After all, the saying goes, ‘clear as mud’, and with that clarity comes the knowledge that these people are just not worth it.
Better to delete the numbers out of the phone book, with that simple click of the button, knowing that you are cutting the poison out of your life.
At the end of this exercise, I know I will sleep better tonight.
