The ruinous effects of weddings
I have been going to far too many weddings this holiday season, which has culminated in a busting gut from eating too much rich food, an over-worked liver which has to deal with a higher alcohol consumption and a bank account in the red, from handing out far too many red packets.
And I have yet more weddings to attend.
And with the wave of invitations, it has become increasingly apparent that my maternal parent has started dropping barely veiled hints about when I am going to bring my spouse-to-be to the house, so that I can get on with the business of propagating my share of 2.5 children.
