The world lost a Nobel Laureate.
I lost the only playwright I have read since I was forced to read Shakespeare in school and the only one I bothered to seek out and read when I became addicted to just one play.

I am really happy that my sister is home.
Perhaps it is true afterall, that absence does indeed make the heart grow fonder and it does, after her three-month absence.

It seems like I have been in touch with plenty of death lately.
I remember talking to my colleague on the phone when the news came in from the wires that there was the first Singaporean casualty ever from a terrorist attack and I felt physically ill at the thought.
