It has been over a year plus since I last updated here and wow, I have to say that time really passes very fast.
But I have to say that the reason for my silence on my own blog is no longer valid.
It was with a big sense of disquiet that I decided to go ‘underground’ so to speak as I saw how social media can affect how one is viewed at work. And while nothing happened to me, because really, I don’t reveal much about what I do at the workplace, it was very shocking to see how colleagues who do indeed have blogs were treated.
But anyway, things have changed. I have changed. In the past 13 months or so, I have met and am currently dating someone. I have changed my job! So this means I don’t have to worry about what I do in my private time is going affect my professional performance and people’s view of me in the public sphere.
Having said all that, it is time for an update on the ‘about me’ page. But really, it feels good to be back.
